Our cowboy western holster rigs are crafted from heavy duty genuine top grain leather by world renowned craftsmen whose trade has been handed down for generations. The precision tooling is done Meticulously by HAND. The holster and belt are cut from one hide to maintain color consistency throughout the entire product. The holster BELT is constructed of two sheets of heavy duty top grain leather back to back so that the smooth side of the leather is on the inside of the belt and also on the outside of the belt. The HOLSTER is made of two sheets of leather sandwiching a sheet of metal to add rigidity and to maintain the shape. This double layer construction gives the entire rig durability and longevity. The holsters are designed as a SASS fast draw drop holster. Visit our Amazon store, LeatherTownUSA, for other great leather products. How to measure BELT SIZE: Measure (in inches) your hip or waist area where you want the belt to ride. Wearing pants, measure over the belt loops with the belt in place. This measurement is your belt size. How to measure BARREL LENGTH: Measure from the front of the cylinder to the tip of the pistol.
To start, I am not an expert when it comes to leather working. So please take this from a lay persons point of view. With that said, This rig is well designed and appears to be very durable. The leather itself was beautiful, heavy duty, and the stitching seems very solid. I would recommend like with any leather holster, buy either Galco version or some type of leather conditioner to help the longevity of the belt and holster. It fits very comfortably and the weapon fits nice and tight in the holster. Just for fyi, this rig is perfect for the Ruger Blackhawk 45 long colt 5.5 inch. The 45 long colt rounds fit snug in the ammo socks and that is a plus for me. On another note, the shipping was fast although I managed to get this item on Amazon Prime. All in all, I am very impressed with the rig. I will try to keep you all up to date on its survival over the months as I break it in.
