I bent one slightly for more height to hold my Colt 1911 properly with an empty magazine installed, and that was easy enough to do. They're well and thoughtfully designed to keep handguns from flopping around, instead they sit securely at perfectly upright angles. I'd certainly buy these again if starting over.Holds my S&W M&P 9mm and small j frame .38 special perfectly. I was always taught to store guns with the barrel slight down so excess gun oil runs out of the barrel instead of back in towards the action. This does it perfect and makes it easy to grab off the stand. Also will fit inside my nightstand drawer.
