These seem like good quality, the brass bristle density is really good! I got the elite and you really shouldn’t need anything else for any standard/mainstream caliber you’re using!The BOOSTEADY Pro Universal Gun Cleaning Kit comes well-equipped to get right to cleaning your guns. (Gun oil not included.) It features bronze cleaning brushes in all calibers and two AR chamber brushes, brass cleaning jags, barrel mops, and two metal bore cleaning rods. It even has patches and two needle oiler bottles for your favorite gun oil and solvent. It comes in a hard-sided carry case for easy transport to the range or the field.I found the BOOSTEADY Pro Universal Gun Cleaning Kit ready to do the job. I just have small issues: according to the description cleaning rods are made of "iron." While I think they mean steel, I prefer brass rods as the softer material is less likely to damage the bore. Also, at $53 for the kit, I believe there might be better values available on Amazon if you shop around. So, I recommend the kit - but not at that price.I picked this kit because it had jags. Jags are used to push cloth through for cleaning the barrel. Couple of the other kits didn't have it, hence why I point this out.The kit has lots of different calibers. It covers nearly all the calibers of common firearms. It even has a chamber brush for a AR. Not something you typically see in a kit. It also comes with crown protection.. also something you don't see in cheaper kits.Typically I don't like screw together rods, but this one is actually pretty stiff. I always worry about these type of rods breaking vs a one piece rod.I haven't test the bottles for leakage. I will be filling them with Ed's Red to see how well it works.It comes with spare brushes not in the case which is nice. I'll have to see if I can fit them in somewhere, probably under the jags.One thing I thought was strange is that when you open it up with the side you think would the be the top side.. the lettering on the box is upside down. Not a big deal, but I found that to be a mistake.On the brushes and jags, etc. they put labels on them so you know where to place the piece. That is a nice thing since it is easy to confuse one size for another.This is a good kit for the inexperience. The parts are not the best, but they are good enough to get your firearm cleaned good. I still have to test for durability and will update this review as I test the kit.Other than oil, this kit has everything I need to clean both large and small-bore guns and rifles. Yes, shotguns as well! Overall a nice kit with multiple choices for keeping firearms in good condition. I very much appreciate the versatility. The brushes should last some time. This is a good kit for someone who needs to keep a variety of bores conditioned. The carry case is nice as, over time some of the pieces in the kit will need to be replaced as with any other kit. I am very happy with this, and it contains decent quality cleaning components (cloths and brushes). The flexible tips are nice for harder-to-reach areas and really help with thorough cleaning of the loading parts. This beats my old kit that I paid more for.This kit is perfect for anyone just getting into the hobby and looking for a quick kit they can keep on standby to clean their respective weapons. The large number of brushes, needles, and rods makes it an ideal starter kit, and great for anyone who may have a multitude of calibers. The number of cleaning swabs it comes with isn't a lot (I was able to clean two rifles after a couple hours at the range), but I don't really count this against the product, as it's main purpose is to provide the correct brushes in order to clean, not be a stand alone "all-in-one" cleaning kit that you won't need to pick anything else up with.So, if you are looking at this product on Amazon, you probably own a gun, or you are looking to get one and want to have an all-in-one cleaning kit as with gun ownership always comes a responsibility to maintain your firearms. You have to take care of them, so they don't malfunction and are safe and ready to use when you need to. If you have just one gun, you might be okay with a single brush and a jag, but where there is one gun, soon enough you will have several, I can guarantee you :). So, you'll end up needing to clean different types of firearms each of different caliber and that's when a kit like this will come in handy. With that said, let's dive into the details of this nice gun cleaning kit.The kit arrived in a clear shrink wrap and surprisingly, when I unwrapped it, the logo that was supposed to stay on the box was also removed along with the wrap. I had to peel it off the wrapping and glue it back to the box. So, don't expect that this logo will stay for long on your case, but that's minor. There are several similar cleaning kits available on Amazon, but I have selected this one specifically because of its premium cleaning brushes, jags, and rods. I already have one "generic" multi-caliber cleaning kit and this one feels much higher quality. If I compare the brushes from this kit and the other "generic" one side by side, these brushes are clearly much better with denser and softer bristles, and the end of each brush has a soft protective tip. All jags and patch loops are made of brass and precisely machined.End-to-end, the kit includes everything you would ever need for cleaning and maintaining your gun collection unless you have some really esoteric non-standard firearm, but even then, you probably will be able to use a brush/mop from another caliber no problem. All popular calibers are covered from the smallest pistol .17 to the rifle 50 cal. All types of cleaning tools are included, you have cleaning mops, brushes, patch loops, etc. You even can find chamber brushes and a set of flexible nylon-wrapped wires for .17 and .22 cleaning. In addition, you have a set of wire brushes too in nylon, and brass. And to my surprise, I found hidden carving tools - one plastic and one steel. However, I wouldn't recommend the use of steel brush as it can scratch and damage your gun finish, I never use anything made of steel when cleaning my guns.In addition, you have two empty oil bottles, but I don't know why they are included. All oils I use already come in their own bottles, specifically designed for proper applications, and it does not make sense to transfuse them to these new bottles. Also, I mostly use spray oil in cans. So, I don't think I'd ever need any of these oil bottles included in the kit and most likely will re-use the space for the bottle to keep the extra patches or something else.The carrying case this tool set comes in is absolutely great. It is sturdy and very well organizes your cleaning tools, it has real hinges and a sliding lock, so many years of use are guaranteed! Every brush, rod, mop, and everything has its own specific place and is firmly held in place by a small plastic clamp. Long mops and brushes are held in two places for better security - by their top and bottom parts. Needless to say, the kit when it arrived was completely organized without any loose pieces in the case, which tells you how secure everything is held inside!The only problem is that my kit is missing at least 4 tools that are listed as included in the product description - 3 brushes with nylon bristles on one end and copper on another are nowhere to find. And there should be a short 22 cal cleaning cable which is also missing. I've sent a message to the manufacturer / seller of this product, and I'll update the review depending on how they handle this issue. But for now, I'm going to lower its rating by 1 star due to this issue.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I hands down recommend this gun cleaning kit, absolutely must have for every gun person, 9/10. Very high-quality tools, top-tier premium kit. Versatile, includes everything you need to maintain any gun from .17 to 50 cal. It has wire brushes, mops, jags, patch loops, carving tools, even wire pulls for shotgun cleaning! I mean everything. All jags and patch loops are precisely machined from brass. And all of this is neatly organized in a very sturdy and very well-made plastic carrying case. This is the best gun cleaning kit I've ever had so far! Solid 5 stars if only it wasn't missing 4 cleaning tools, so I'm gonna go with 4 stars for now.+++ Pros +++1) Versatile, covers majority of gun calibers you ever encounter.2) Nicely organized, everything you need is in one sturdy case.3) Brass jags, very nice touch.
